best of all worlds #52

Here is the last podcast of 2012… and I’m sorry to say I haven’t bothered with a best of the year set… too many of them out there… plus it’s difficult to get all my favourites into one set, though before NYE, I will be posting a youtube list containing my favourites instead… so watch this space!

I’ve decided to finish off the year with a podcast featuring my favourites from the latest edition of the “Two Syllables” compilations put together by First Word Records… I’m well impressed with volume 8… it includes some great tracks from and the likes of Tall Black Guy, Marc Mac, Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra and Souleance… as it is with all of the rest of the editions, volume 8 is free as well… and can be downloaded from this link.

Also in this weeks podcast, music from Drumagick, interesting mishmash of heavy funk and drum & bass featuring one of my favourite producers of all time, Mark de Clive Lowe… deep south business from Distal, and new music from The Sure Co, a fantastic collaboration project between drummer Richard Spaven and pianist Grant Windsor…

Thanks for listening,

Cengiz
